CASE STUDY DESCRIPTION

In 2013 following the major acquisition of competitor Hirequip the new combined company required a new logo and a strategic platform to move forward on as the undisputed leader in NZ hire.

Following a brand  audit and review of both operations it was decided to use the winning elements of both identities and combine into one entity named Hirepool. After some initial explorations it was also decided to incorporate the signature look of Onsite Rental Group ( A sister company based in Australia).

A modern highly legible font was adopted to replace the dated condensed font historically used, and to aid legibility the two tone word mark became white.

The re-establishment of the Hirepool brand also involved a review of sub brands and resulted in a clear decision to remove some of the existing names and incorporate them into one entity. As a result the names Castles Marquee and Events, Hirequip Events, Henderson Rental Vehicles, Rhodes Rentals, and Barricading Solutions were absorbed and now appear as part of the group.

In addition to this the tagline ‘Hire the Experience’ was turned into a value stamp and it now appears on uniforms vehicles and branches to reinforce the fact that Hirepool is one of the most experienced hire companies around.
