The Sir Peter Blake Regatta is a major sailing event that hosts up to 500 competitors every year.
After the host club decided the event should be turned into a national event DesignManagers created the logo and set out on a long marketing and positioning journey to create both a unique atmosphere on the regatta circuit and a nationally significant presence.
This has been a hugely successful exercise in sports marketing with sponsorship values tripling over five years and the event gaining in status virtually every year.
In addition the club was officially recognised by New Zealand Sailing for what it has achieved with the regatta. In 2013 the regatta also managed to gain Volvo Cars as a major gold sponsor.
